ADELLA HOTCHKISS (cello) is a developing string educator and cellist. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in cello performance at the University of Louisville, where also she holds a teaching assistantship. In her undergraduate career, she was a dual winner of the University of Nebraska concerto competition, performing the fourth movement of the Elgar Cello Concerto. She taught for two years with the UNL/LPS String Project, kept a small cello studio, and was assistant to Junior Youth Orchestra Director Del Whitman. Hotchkiss has played for cellists including Paul Katz, Michael Haber, and Anthony Kitai. She spent four years studying with the Chiara Quartet in the University of Nebraska chamber music program. Chamber music masterclasses and coaching include Takacs Quartet and Kate Ransom.
