Trombonist and Sackbut performer Alex Krawczyk is currently Principal Trombone of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra of Indiana as well as a freelance musician in the Chicagoland area. Previous to this Alex held positions as Trombon Solista of La Orquesta Sinfonica del Sodre in Montevideo, Uruguay during their 2015-2016 season, and Principal Trombone of the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic from 2013-2015. Besides performing with these ensembles Alex keeps an active concert schedule performing with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Eastern Music Festival, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, and the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra. Alex is also an active performer of Early Music having performed with Sacabuche, the Bach Collegium, Forgotten Clefs and Musica Ecclesia. Alex is a graduate of the University of Iowa and Indiana University where his primary studies have been with David Gier, Carl Lenthe, Dee Stewart, Pete Ellefson, and Linda Pearse.
