BRANDON GIANETTO, a second year fellow with Eastern Music Festival, enjoys a varied career as an orchestral and chamber musician. A graduate of the Boston Conservatory, SUNY Purchase College and Manhattan School of Music, Brandon's principal teachers include Patricia McCarty, Ira Weller and Karen Dreyfus, and he has additionally played in masterclasses for Mischa Amory, Carmit Zori, Calvin Weirsma, Julia Lichten, Craig Mumm and members of the Emerson, Orion, Tokyo, Shanghai, Mendelssohn and New Zealand quartets. Recently, Gianetto played with such ensembles as the Binghamton Philharmonic, Syracuse Symphoria, Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and the Ridgefield and Westchester Symphonies. In addition to his performance engagements, Gianetto works as a teacher with the Noel Pointer Foundation, where he teaches violin classes in the Brooklyn Public Schools. Gianetto lives in New York City.
