DANICA SMITH (violin) is a freelance musician based in Sedalia, Colorado. She has performed with the Greeley Philharmonic, the Fort Collins Symphony, the Cheyenne Symphony, the Boulder Philharmonic, the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, and the Playground Ensemble. Smith studied at the University of Denver with Linda Wang and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Simon Fischer. While studying at The Guildhall School, she received orchestral coaching from members of the London Symphony Orchestra and performed in ensemble projects conducted by Pavlo Beznosiuk, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Alexander Janiczek, Sir Antonio Pappano, and Sir Simon Rattle. Smith has attended the Colorado College Music Festival, the National Repertory Orchestra, the Montecito International Music Festival, and the International Lyric Academy Festival Orchestra. An avid amateur choral singer, Smith is an alto singer with the Evans Choir.
