DIANA TSALIOVICH, EMF alumna, began violin lessons in her native Russia when she was four years old. She continued her musical education upon immigrating to the United States and eventually received a Bachelor of Music degree from Mannes College of Music and a Master of Music from Yale University. Ms. Tsaliovich is a seasoned teacher, working with students of beginning to conservatory level and completing long-term Suzuki Method training. She has participated in master classes of Joseph Gingold and Ruggiero Ricci and worked closely with the Emerson and Tokyo string quartets. She has performed concerti, recitals, and chamber music in the United States, Europe and Israel and has appeared in live radio broadcasts of chamber music on French and Israeli radio. Ms. Tsaliovich also has considerable experience as an orchestral player, performing as the concertmaster of the Spoleto Festival Orchestra and the chamber orchestra conducted by Pierre Boulez at the Aix-en-Provence Music Festival. After receiving a Fulbright Grant to study at the Sibelius Academy in Finland, she remained in Finland for 10 years while playing in the 1st violin section of the Finnish National Opera orchestra. In 2008 Ms. Tsaliovich became a member of the 1st violin section in the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Israel Broadcasting Association, her present occupation.
