Isabel Dimoff currently studies with Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra principal cellist Ilya Finkelshteyn, at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She studied with Pam Kelly and Cleveland Orchestra members Mark Kosower and Martha Baldwin during her time in the Cleveland Institute of Music’s preparatory program. Isabel is currently a member of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra and has won several competitions, including the Cleveland Cello Society’s Competition and the Lakewood Three Arts Competition. She has soloed with the Suburban Symphony Orchestra and the Contemporary Youth Orchestra. Isabel has participated in summer programs including the National Repertory Orchestra, Lev Aronson Legacy Festival, Eastern Music Festival, and the Curtis Young Artist Summer Program. She has worked with notable musicians such as Adriana Contino, Lynn Harrell, the Cavani Quartet, and Catharina Meints in a master class. She was awarded the Cleveland Cello Society’s Agnew Prize for Bach in 2016 and the Katie Galvin Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2010. In her free time, Isabel enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her cats, friends, and family.
