Eric Schweikert : Percussion

Eric Schweikert is the principal timpanist with the Eastern Music Festival and the principal timpanist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. He has performed with the Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras and appeared as soloist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and Detroit Symphony orchestras. Former principal with the New World Symphony and the Victoria Symphony, Mr. Schweikert received his B.M. from the Cleveland Institute of Music and studied further at The Juilliard School of Music. His major teachers include Paul Yancich, Richard Weiner, Cloyd Duff, Roland Kohloff, and James Ross. This is his 19th season at EMF.
