AMBER DEAN (horn) is currently Fourth Horn in the Sarasota Orchestra. Her previous positions include Principal Horn of Palm Beach Symphony, Principal Horn of Florida Grand Opera, Second Horn of the Orquesta Filarmonica de Jalisco (Guadalajara, Mexico), and Third Horn of the Orquesta Sinfónica Sinaloa de las Artes (Culiacan, Mexico). She has also performed with The Florida Orchestra, Mozart Orchestra of New York, Symphony of the Americas, Atlantic Classical Orchestra, Miami City Ballet, Orchestra Miami, South Florida Symphony, Lancaster Festival, and the Quad City Symphony among others. She is a frequent clinician for Florida schools and youth orchestras. Dean joined Eastern Music Festival in 2023.
Dean completed her Bachelor of Music degree at Western Illinois University and her Master of Music degree at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. Her teachers include Dale Clevenger, Richard Todd, Alice Render Clevenger, and Randall Faust.
