ARIADNA BAZARNIK-ILIKA is a native of Poland, where she attended the Karol Szymanowski Music School in Wroclaw. She earned a master’s degree in violin performance from the Academy of Music in Kraków, studying with Ariadna Lwowicz and Kaja Danczowska. She has taught and played violin for EMF since 1992. Bazarnik-Ilika has also held positions with the Delaware Symphony, Philomel Symphony, Brandywine Baroque Symphony, and the Concerto Soloists of the Philadelphia Symphony. Since moving to North Carolina in 2001, she has been an active freelancer and has performed regularly with the North Carolina Symphony, Carolina Ballet, Florida Orchestra, Opera Tampa, and other leading arts organizations. She is married to North Carolina Symphony principal trombonist John Ilika. They reside in Garner with their two children, Tristan and Zofia. Bazarnik-Ilika is an EMF alum.
