Claire Hebeisen

CLAIRE HEBEISEN (violin) is passionate about musical storytelling to create an emotional experience and enable communication. She is committed to a variety of diverse musical performances including alternative repertoire, creative collaborations, and performing for non-traditional audiences. She is active in chamber music, solo performance, and community engagement in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. area. Hebeisen has performed numerous solo and chamber engagements around the country. These include a solo performance for the Gordon Trust Fund Concert Series at Temple Oheb Shalom, a duo concert for the Coulter Concert Series at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Portland, OR, and a performance of the Bach’s Chaconne for the Bach Marathon Concert at St. David’s Episcopal Church. Hebeisen is a regular sub for the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra. She also holds the position of principal second violin in Peabody’s Conductor Orchestra, the paid lab orchestra coached by Marin Alsop. From 2019-2021, Hebeisen was Co-Director of Peabody String Sinfonia, a student-run, conductor-less chamber orchestra that performs in non-traditional venues including rehab centers, cancer treatment facilities, and homeless shelters. She also loves new music and has worked closely with young composers to commission and premier several pieces. Hebeisen studies violin at Peabody Conservatory with Judith Ingolfsson. She received a BM from Peabody Conservatory in 2021 and will graduate with a master’s degree in 2022.
