Originally from the Space Coast of Florida, conductor CLANCY ELLIS is currently based in New York City, where he studies Orchestral Conducting at the Mannes School of Music under professors David Hayes and Mark Shapiro. Ellis is an assistant conductor of the Mannes Orchestra and Mannes Opera and directs the Mannes American Composers Ensemble (MACE). In addition, he served as a guest conductor for the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra and has conducted the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra. Ellis has participated in conducting masterclasses throughout the United States and Europe, studying with renowned conductors and teachers such as Carl St. Clair and Kenneth Kiesler. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied saxophone under Dr. Chien-Kwan Lin.
