Now in his 24th season with EMF, DAN SKIDMORE performs regularly in North Carolina as Concertmaster of the Salisbury Symphony, the Western Piedmont Symphony, and the North Carolina Chamber Orchestra, and as Associate Concertmaster of the Winston-Salem Symphony. He is the violin instructor at High Point University and has also served on the violin faculties of Elon University, Wake Forest University, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Appalachian State University, and Catawba College. His concerto appearances have included the Sunriver Music Festival, the Winston-Salem Symphony, the Salisbury Symphony, and the North Carolina Chamber Orchestra. Skidmore holds a Bachelor of Music from West Virginia University, a Master of Music from Northwestern University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from UNC-Greensboro, all in violin performance. His teachers include Mary Wilson, John Fadial, Blair Milton, and Charles Castleman.
