DIANA LUPO began violin lessons in Russia when she was four. Lupo (neé Tsaliovich) continued her musical education upon immigrating to the U.S. and received a Bachelor of Music degree from Mannes College of Music and a Master of Music from Yale University. The EMF alumna has participated in master classes of Joseph Gingold and Ruggiero Ricci and worked closely with the Emerson and Tokyo string quartets. She has performed concerti, recitals and chamber music in the U.S., Europe, and Israel, and has appeared in live radio broadcasts of chamber music on French and Israeli radio. After receiving a Fulbright Grant to study at the Sibelius Academy in Finland with Professor Igor Bezrodny, Lupo remained in Finland for 10 years while playing in the Finnish National Opera orchestra. In 2008, Lupo became a member of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA, her present occupation, while acting as concertmaster for several projects with the Jerusalem Opera, Tel Aviv Soloists, and the Israel Chamber Orchestra. Lupo is also a dedicated teacher, completing long-term Suzuki Method training and working with students of all levels.
