DWYLA PEARSON was born and raised in Greensboro, NC, where she began playing violin at the age of 6. Though trained as a classical violinist, Dwyla has recorded and performed and recorded with ensembles across several genres including Bobby Previte, Charlie Hunter, Kolbie Watkins, Demeanor and others. She also performs regularly with Fayetteville Symphony, Summit Strings chamber group, and Hayes Barton Pine chamber orchestra. Dwyla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In addition to teaching and performing, Dwyla is the founder of a private chartered transportation company headquartered in Greensboro, and works as the director of development and partnerships. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reviewing local eateries with her sister, attending exotic car races and shows, spending time on the lake jet skiing, and spending time with her dog.
