Hee Won Jeon

HEE WON JEON (cello) is a native Korean cellist. As an international artist, Jeon has performed in concerts throughout the USA, Europe, and Asia with orchestras including Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, Mahlerian Project Orchestra, Beethoven Symphony Orchestra Hessen, and Mainz Musici Ensemble. In addition to orchestral playing, she has attended prestigious summer festivals on fellowship including Chautauqua Institution, The Next Festival of Emerging Artists, and Beethoven Orchestra Hessen. Jeon has studied under several acclaimed groups and individuals, including the Pacifica Quartet, Natalia Gutman, Pieter Wiespelwey, Gustav Rivinius (HfM Saarbrücken), Claudia Bussian (Gewandhaus), Reiner Ginzel (HfM München), Lluís Claret (NEC), Sung-mi Im, and Ingrid Matthews. Jeon is currently based in Bloomington, Indiana, where she is completing her doctoral studies at Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music with Emilio Colon. She earned her degrees at Indiana University (M.M) and Musikhochschule Mainz (Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz -College of Music ) under Manuel Fischer-Dieskau (B.M)
