MARY READING is so pleased to join the Eastern Music Festival team full time after working with EMF patrons through Triad Stage for six fantastic summer seasons. She was Audience Services Manager at Triad Stage from July 2022 until its closure in August 2023. Mary holds an MFA in Performing Arts Management from UNC School of the Arts, where she interned in the Office of Advancement with a focus on special events and in the Office of Marketing & Communications with an emphasis on institutional branding and public relations. She maintains a close relationship with UNCSA, working there part time in ticketing and house management since 2009. She has also worked for the Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County as a development assistant for workplace fundraising, served as the communications manager for Youth Opportunities (a children’s behavioral healthcare provider), and was the executive director of the Piedmont Wind Symphony.
Originally from Sumter, SC, Mary has lived in the Triad for 14 years. Currently, she and her husband, Coleman Nation, live in Walkertown with their pets, Grace the dog and Odessa the cat.
