BEVERLY NAIDITCH, EMF’s Director of Operations, is a native of Chicago who found her way to North Carolina in 1976 a few years after graduating from Northern Illinois University with a B.M. in Percussion Performance. In 1979, she became a member of the Greensboro Symphony (GSO), which she recently retired from after 45 years. Bev was also the Production Manager for GSO from 1985-90. In 1989, Bev managed the Project: LISTEN outreach program for the Eastern Music Festival. The following year, she took over the EMF Stage Manager position where she remained through 2004. Bev moved to Winston-Salem in 1992 after accepting the Stage Manager position with the Winston-Salem Symphony, eventually moving into Operations, where she remained through 2010. In 2012, Bev happily assumed the role of EMF Director of Operations.
Throughout all of this, Bev was also a member of IATSE Local 574, then 635 (retired 2021), working as stage crew (props, lighting, wardrobe, band gear) for many events including touring Broadway shows, ballet, opera, rock & roll/country and symphony concerts. Bev still actively performs in the Triad and surrounding areas with the Salisbury Symphony, playing education programs with Music Carolina and the Giannini Brass, and as a freelance musician.
